Professional Biography

Julia Wolfermann is a German New Yorker and was holding weekly 5Rhythms® classes in New York City for more than 3 years ~ Gate Waves (for men and women) and Goddess Waves (for women only). Her teaching path has led her to facilitate combined yoga/5Rhythms workshops in Sag Harbor, Woodstock, at Atmananda Yoga, NYC and on the island of Amorgos/Greece. She has held classes in Philadelphia, Princeton, at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck NY, at the Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, in Athens, Rome, Düsseldorf, Wuppertal, Vienna, Hamburg and Geneva. Julia has held 5Rhythms workshops in Mallorca/Spain, Mexico City and Geneva. Julia has also been teaching movement classes to children at Chelsea Hudson Guild, which was founded in 1897 by Dr. John Lovejoy Elliott http://en.wikipedia.org as a settlement house http://en.wikipedia.org, with the intention of helping to alleviate the problems of the immigrant community of Chelseas industrial area.

Having been trained directly from the magical team of Gabrielle Roth and her son Jonathan Horan at the Moving Center, New York, Julia feels honored and excited to be sharing her gifts with you http://www.5rhythms.com

Julia currently lives in Switzerland where she was co-creating and collaborating with an international group of dancers and artists on the DDA, the Danse of the Archetypes, founded by Danielle Didier. Spectacles and workshops have been performed and taught in Belford and Paris, France, in Barcelona and Teneriffa, Spain and in Montreux, Switzerland.

Julia has also lived a small but impactful part of her artistic life in Florence, Italy ~ she plays, designs, writes, innovates and teaches German when she is not on the dance floor. Julia also serves as trained Methos actress and soprano voice, voice-over talent and has a passion for internationally-minded, peace-oriented communities.
